March means Women’s History Month! This month, we focus on celebrating the accomplishments of women across the globe and empowering all the beautiful ladies in our lives. 75 Degrees and Fuzzy is a women-run business, so this is the perfect time to introduce our amazing team and get some amazing tips on being confident and empowering women.
Layna
My name is Layna Hathaway, I’m 20 years old and from sunny San Clemente, CA! Currently, I am a second-year business administration student at Cal Poly with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Integrated Marketing Communications. I am one of the co-founders of 75 Degrees and Fuzzy and currently lead our team of 7 amazing interns.
My favorite fashion trend right now is definitely wearing blazers casually because it makes me confident and bold.
I am a strong believer that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with, so if you’re looking to feel empowered, happy, or confident you need to surround yourself with friends and peers who radiate those qualities!

I’m Sara Dada, 19, from San Ramon, CA (Bay Area), and my major is Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Management.
I’m the Director of Digital Marketing for 75, and oversee our campaign launches, web design, social media strategy, and brand partnerships. It’s so exciting to work with such a talented and amazing team to grow the 75 brand!
I’ve been loving matching sets, funky prints, and wide-leg pants at the moment!
I’m really passionate about the idea of intersectional feminism, the idea that there are many different ways each woman experiences discrimination due to their diverse backgrounds and identities. For women’s history month try to engage with new voices and perspectives that are different than your own!
Alyssa
My name is Alyssa Torkelsen and I am 19 years old. I am originally from the Bay Area, California, but attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo majoring in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship. For 75, I am a Digital Communications intern working with uploading products, website maintenance, and implementing SEO.
My favorite fashion trend right now is matching sweatsuits, they’re comfy and cute!
A tip I have would be to remember that you are where you are meant to be right now. Try to enjoy the present and put your energy into your passions and things you truly love. :)

My name is Annali Jacobs, I am 19 years old, and I am from San Rafael, CA which is just 15 minutes north of San Francisco. I am a Graphic Communication Major and Photography & Video Minor. As a 75 design intern, I produce creative content for the website and Instagram page, edit videos for Instagram Stories/Reels and TikTok, and assist with managing social media platforms! I absolutely love being a part of the 75 Team and what the company stands for.
I love staying comfy in matching lounge sets during long hours of Zoom University! I also think graphic tees are pretty cute.
Two mantras that I like to remind myself of are “everything will be okay” and that “everything happens for a reason”. I like to believe that even if life throws you the biggest obstacles, it’s just a puddle, and you have the power to persevere through it.

My name is Simone Pucher and I’m from Denver, CO! I am currently a first-year majoring in Business Administration at Cal Poly. At 75 Degrees and Fuzzy, I work with the Digital Communications team where I produce and name products for the company using SEO. I also write descriptions for the clothing collections.
My favorite fashion trend right now during COVID-19 is athleisure.
My advice to other women is to have confidence in yourself! There is tons of empowerment through fashion and your style can reflect who you are. Wear clothes that make you feel the most like yourself.

My favorite fashion trend right now has to be peasant tops. I think they’re so unique because they make a revival every few years and new styles never fail to impress!
One quote I try to live by is, “Real queens fix each other’s crowns.” This is used a lot because it is so true. We cannot expect to feel our best and be our best without treating those around us with respect and love.
